Please see our separate privacy statement for details of how we hold and use data you supply to us.
Chocolate Products
We will send out goods as described and pictured on our website.
We are unable to offer for sale products not listed on our website.
Mixed boxes of chocolates will be put together by a chocolatier and will offer a range of textures, flavours and decorative styles. We will always select the best that is available from our current collection.
Should an item be out of stock, we shall call you to discuss whether you would prefer to: wait until we have made new stocks of the product OR accept a substitution OR cancel your order.
Packaging
Occasionally the colour of boxes and ribbon, or other details of packaging
may vary.
Delivery
To ensure that our chocolates arrive in perfect condition, we only deliver within the United Kingdom. Our definition of the United Kingdom includes the U.K. mainland, Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands & the Isle of Man.
We use Royal Mail First Class for our deliveries.
Should you wish to upgrade to another delivery service, please phone us to discuss.
We will usually despatch orders within three days. In the event of a delay, we shall contact you to discuss.
Payment
We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and Switch.
We will process your card details and take payment as soon as your order is received and prior to despatch.
We are not responsible for your supply of incorrect card details or other details which make payment processing impossible. Nor are we responsible for card refusal by your bank.
Should we have difficulty processing your card we will contact you on the number you have supplied, but this will delay despatch of your order.
All prices quoted will include VAT at the appropriate rate, currently 17.5% for most of our products.
We are unable to supply VAT receipts. Sorry.
We will supply till and card receipts with your order whenever the delivery name address is the same as the cardholder name and address.

Hot weather
Hot weather is not good for chocolate. Damage in transit through heat is rare, but can happen in the summer months. In the event of a very hot spell (this only really applies for the months May - September) we may call you to ask whether you wish us to despatch as usual, or to wait until conditions have cooled.
All our parcels are taken to the post office at the end of the day and are kept cool until they leave us. Our packaging is designed to minimise the risk of damage from heat.
We can't be held responsible for damage from hot weather to your chocolates once they leave our care.
Gift wrapping and messages
We provide a paid-for giftwrapping service.
This includes wrapping and ribboning of your purchase, as well as supply of a gift-tag, and is charged per item.
Your message will be reproduced as you type it, directly onto the message card.
We reserve the right to reject any message that we consider might offend the recipient.
We shall of course choose wrapping paper and ribbon of the quality and style you would expect from Miette!
We are unable to provide gift cards other than as part of our giftwrapping service.
Allergies
We work in a small kitchen. Any and all products may contain traces of nuts (including peanuts), milk products or gluten. In addition, some of our suppliers are unable to guarantee that the products they supply to us are free from traces of certain known allergens.
If you have an allergy we recommend you buy from a specialist producer
who does not have allergens on premises.
